It's a Girl!

Last week I finally got to see our friends new baby girl, Allison. She is precious and adorable. She was so cute in her little hot pink dress and white socks with ruffles at her baby shower. I was so happy to make a cake that her mother loved. It is their favorite flavor, red velvet with white buttercream. A two tier cake, 6" and 4". The bottom tier was decorated with pink buttercream rose swirls and the top tier was decorated with white buttercream and white coarse sugar. It also has a pink fondant plaque with Allison and a bow. I also made little kitten slippers to go up top as a keepsake, I imprinted Allison into the bottom of one slipper and the date of birth into the other slipper.
