I held a couple classes through the Calgary Sugar Craft Guild teaching members how I use acrylic discs and panel fondant. Something that I taught myself awhile ago to get super sharp edges and straight sides. These are the two cakes that I made in the process of showing them how I did it. The first night they all wanted to see how I did my other chalkboard cake, so I did a chalkboard cake with love in a banner over a feather imprint to give it a little extra
texture. At the second class I decided to try out a few molds I had made a few weeks ago and give it a vintage look with gold painted over black fondant. We all used Renshaw fondant for all of our cakes, that is my favorite fondant. I couldn't think of a name to put on it, so I used my Grandma's name. Everyone had a blast taking the class and a few of them even were converted to this new method.
